William Mulgrew is Branch Manager of Wise Property Care’s Edinburgh branch.  He joined The Dynamic Leader programme early 2007 against a business backdrop of falling sales and decreasing profits.

William quickly recognised that his friendly cajoling motivational style (everyone’s friend) was not delivering the results his branch needed.  He was always telling his team what he wanted but they never appeared to understand or do it.

From a very early stage in the programme he started to develop the ability to communicate goals actions and timescales more clearly and gain understanding buy-in and commitment. While retaining his friendly motivational style he began to make people more accountable and responsible for their actions and results.  Motivation, morale and performance quickly improved and by the end of he programme the Edinburgh branch was completely transformed.

During, and as a result of, his participation in The Dynamic Leader the Edinburgh Branch increased its sales by 45% and profits by 211%.  In recognition of his achievements and personal growth Wullie was recently appointed Senior Branch Manager with a remit of helping to develop his fellow managers.
